The MC1 sole has been developed for use with foot pedals: it has a large box around the trunks for easy on and off even in the mud, the mounting points for the trunks are moved back for really aggressive downhill riding, and a stiff insert is inserted under the trunks for great power transfer to the pedal, and the toe and heel sole is more compliant and, along with the directional pattern on the sole, will hold you up while walking uphill and downhill. The cushioned EVA footbed takes care of shock absorption. Easy lacing thanks to round laces, ventilated mesh material, padded tongue with a lace pocket to keep them from getting tangled in the chain, rubber on the heel and toe to protect the shoe and foot, heel grip to prevent heel slippage, and CrankBrothers design details.
