The R5 Overcurve builds on the qualities of its predecessor, the R5B, and takes them even further. With its design, stiff sole, materials, yet still at an affordable price, it offers a great mix of great features. The Boa IP1-A fastening combined with a single Velcro buckle securely and comfortably envelops the foot. The carbon fiber reinforced nylon outsole is stiff enough for long road rides and, combined with the comfortable Fizik insole, transfers every watt of power expended to the pedals. The upper is made of durable yet easy-to-wash Microtex material, and sufficient ventilation is provided by a system of laser-cut holes.
