The Register is a sports helmet designed for cycling and light MTB riding enthusiasts. Low profile, compact shape, design inspiration from top Giro models - these are just the icing on the cake. The honest foundation is a well-ventilated In Mold shell with 22 ventilation holes and the comfortable Roc Loc Sport clamping system, which you can fine-tune to your exact head shape with the drawcord wheel. So - do you want to go for a more sedate colour or do you want to go for a more bold colour? The style is up to you.
The helmet can be retrofitted with a rear flasher - order code 7117710.

ADVANCES IN CYCLING HELMET DEVELOPMENT
All Giro helmets are designed to absorb as much energy as possible on impact and meet the current European standard: EN 1078. The new MIPS technology aims to eliminate the rotational forces that act on the head in the event of a crash. When hit at any angle, the MIPS system allows the EPS shell of the helmet to rotate independently around the rider's head. Although this movement is only on the order of a few millimeters, we believe that MIPS technology significantly reduces the amount of rotational force that could otherwise be transmitted to the brain.
WHAT IS MIPS (Multidirectional Impact Protection System) and how does it work?
MIPS is a slippery liner between the EPS shell (helmet body) and the inner liners. In the event of an angled impact (for example, if you catch your head on a branch), the EPS shell of the helmet will roll a few millimeters over the MIPS layer, protecting your head and brain from a violent rotational jerk.
