This is a jacket for fast riding in cold weather, or if you want to dress just right in transition. What makes this jacket work in full effect is our Alpha double-layer construction, which will have you race ready right at the start of spring. The stretchy fabric of the top layer lets in some air so you don't sweat as much when you're riding hard in the cold, because when you're wet, you'll be cold. The inner layer of Polartec® Alpha insulates, but is breathable enough and so lightweight you won't even know you're wearing anything.
We made the backpack from our Nano Flex Extra Dry, which insulates solidly but breathes great and allows sweat to evaporate quickly thanks to the lack of a membrane. The cut is on the body so nothing flutters in the wind, and little details complete the whole: smooth-running YKK® zippers, reflective elements and drainage holes on the pockets, a flat silicone waistband. Thanks to the precise fit, this is our most aerodynamic jacket. Not that aerodynamics are all that important in winter, but at CASTELLI we believe that speed is fun.
