FIRST PROJECT OF AERO DRESS HAS NO NAME, A FACT OF THE SECOND
When we at CASTELLI created the first aero jersey for road racing in 2006, everyone thought we were crazy. Back then, aero was only used in triathlon. Professional clothing back then just meant moisture management. You can win the Tour de France with a jersey that's little more than a polyester T-shirt. Since our aerodynamic consultants anticipated small gains in speed, we named our jersey "Fraction of a Second," yet we figured it was worth pursuing. In the end the gains were quite substantial, and we started a revolution in pro peloton dressing. We are now on our sixth major jersey revision. Each generation has become more airy and with a better fit. The Aero Race 6.0 has benefited greatly from CFD aero analysis regarding fabric placement and seams at the riding position. Team Ineos riders provided the same feedback, as we worked to ensure the jersey was comfortable throughout training and during the race in all possible weather conditions. This jersey is our most aero and most comfortable jersey yet. But we are already working on upgrading it.
